Users on Android experiencing crashes
Issue summary:
On August 27, 2024, from 3:16 PM PDT to 4:09 PM PDT, a change in the backend Slack web service caused the Android app to fail to boot when connecting to Slack servers.
The problems were detected by Slack internally. We rolled back a deploy to mitigate the issue for customers, resolving the issue at hand.
We apologize for any disruption this caused our Android app users.

We’ve resolved the issue and users should no longer be experiencing crashes on Android. Thank you for your patience while we worked to get this fixed.

We've determined that users running version 24.06.20 or higher of our Android app may be experiencing crashes upon launching Slack. We'll continue providing updates as we learn more, and we apologize for the inconvenience in the meantime.
