Summary

Issue Summary: Beginning on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 12:00 PM PDT, until 10:12 AM PDT on Monday, October 14, 2024, some Android users experienced an issue with their user status being shown incorrectly as well as a constant blue loading bar near the top of their app. This issue was traced back to a bug that was introduced by incorrect logic with a feature flag. We rolled back the problematic feature flag, resolving the issue for all affected users. We are continuously making improvements to feature flag releases to reduce the likelihood of events such as these. Thank you for your patience.

We’ve rolled out a fix and user status should now be reflected correctly on Android. Affected users will need to refresh the mobile app twice by swiping up on Slack from the app switcher screen and relaunching. We appreciate your patience while we sorted this out.
