Monitoring

Our provider has deployed a fix and the SMS delivery issues should be improving for impacted users. We will continue monitoring the situation until they report full recovery, and we will provide another update as soon as we have that confirmation.

Thank you for bearing with us.

Update

Some users are unable to receive two-factor authentication messages via SMS at the moment, which may prevent login. Our two-factor authentication provider is experiencing issues and we're actively monitoring the situation. We will provide an update as soon as we have more information.

If you have the backup codes generated during the initial two-factor authentication setup, you can use one of these codes to sign in. On the two-factor authentication request page, click Problem with your code? then Use Emergency Backup Code.

If you do not have your backup codes, a workspace owner/admin can temporarily deactivate your two-factor authentication setup with the steps here: https://slack.com/help/articles/204509068-Set-up-two-factor-authentication#troubleshoot-2fa

You may prefer to switch to an authenticator app in the meantime.

Please write to us at feedback@slack.com if you need assistance.
