Issue Summary:
From 6:30 PM PST on January 28, 2025 to around 11:00 AM PST on January 30, 2025, some Slack AI customers may have experienced issues with Slack AI searches.

A configuration issue with some of our Slack AI infrastructure resulted in an unexpected backlog of Slack AI tasks. This backlog meant that Slack AI responses were not served to users in a timely manner. Additionally, certain Slack AI queries had very long timeout windows, remaining in the queue indefinitely and contributing to the backlog. 

We scaled up our Slack AI infrastructure to increase our capacity to work through the backlog and manually ended any stuck queries. We also deployed a code change to set more reasonable timeout windows for the long-running queries, resolving the issue for all impacted users.
