On February 3, 2025 from 7:13 AM PST to 8:54 AM PST, some users may have experienced delayed notifications or issues loading threads while using Slack.

A recent code change inadvertently increased load on our servers, resulting in intermittent loading errors and notification delays.

We rolled back the code change, resolving the issue for all impacted users.

Signing in with Google and Workflows linked to Google actions may be failing for some customers

From 12:47 AM PST on January 31, 2025 to around 12:22 PM PST on February 3, 2025, some users may have experienced issues using 'Sign in with Google' or 'Sign in with Apple' to access their workspaces. 

We made a code change that inadvertently introduced an encoding error in these authentication requests. We identified the change that introduced the problem and rolled it back, resolving the issue for all impacted users.

We've resolved the issue, and all impacted customers should now be able to access Slack and Workflows with Google steps. You may need to reload Slack (Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + R) to see the fix on your end. We’re so sorry again for any trouble this caused.

Users may be experiencing an error when signing in to Slack using Google. Additionally, Workflows with steps that write to Google Sheets may also be failing. We are investigating and will provide another update once we have more details to share. We’re sorry for the inconvenience.

Some Org Admins may be having trouble loading the People page and other pages in the admin dashboard

From 3:00 PM PST on February 2, 2025 to around 5:00 PM PST on February 3, 2025, users may have experienced issues accessing some of the admin pages, as well as the Discovery page for Enterprise Grid users. 

A spike in errors caused an increase in traffic across part of our search infrastructure, which powers these pages. Our automatic monitoring systems alerted us to this spike, and we stepped in to redistribute incoming traffic to spread out the load. 

This resolved the issue for all impacted users.

We've observed a further increase in reports that some Org and Workspace Admins are continuing to have trouble with the People page on the admin dashboard not loading. We’re actively investigating and we'll report back as more information becomes available.

We have resolved the issue that caused some Org and Workspace Admins to experience trouble loading the People page on the admin dashboard, as well as some users accessing the discovery page on Enterprise Grid.

This issue has now been fully resolved for all users. We apologize for the disruption and appreciate your patience.
