From around 5:00 PM PST on February 11, 2025 until around 1:00 PM PST on February 17, 2025, some users were unable to add existing workspace members to channels using their email addresses in bulk. Affected users reported the issue presenting as an endless loading icon or various errors appearing when entering user emails. It was also noted that some users were not displayed as existing members of the channel.

We traced this issue back to a logic condition that would prevent Slack from returning proper results if there were multiple users with matching search query conditions. We removed the problematic condition within the code, resolving the issue for all affected users.

The issue users were experiencing when attempting to add multiple members to a channel has been resolved. To receive the fix, affected users should hard refresh their Slack app (Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + R).
