Desktop app version 4.43.43 not loading for some users

On March 14, 2025 from 2:15 PM PDT to 3:22 PM PDT, users attempting to log into the Slack Desktop client and some users signing into the web client were unable to complete sign-in, and were seeing a blank purple screen.

We discovered that a recent code change relating to our sign-in process was causing an incorrect API call which resulted in the inability to log in. We rolled back this code change, fixed the code, and redeployed, resolving the issue for all affected users.

We're investigating reports of the desktop app not loading for some users on version 4.43.43. We'll be back with an update once we know more.
