Incident

"See More" button not working for app and integration messages

incident done Summary

From July 22, 2025, at around 3:55 PM PDT until July 23, 2025 at 1:22 AM EDT, some users may have experienced an issue with the "See more" hyperlink in long messages sent by an app or integration in Slack. Clicking this link did not expand the message for affected users.

We traced this issue back to a recent code change related to Slack Block Kit that introduced unintended behavior when rendering the hyperlink functionality. We rolled back the affected Slack version containing the problematic code, resolving the issue for all affected users. Some users may have had to hard-refresh their Slack app (Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + R) to capture the fix.
