Incident
Login Loop from Mobile Browsers

Beginning at 8:03 AM PDT on July 14, 2025, and lasting until 4:31 PM PDT on August 11, 2025, some users experienced a login loop when signing in to Slack via a mobile browser at https://slack.com/signin. After entering their login code, affected users were redirected back to the login page instead of their workspace(s).
This issue did not affect traditional login methods, such as through the desktop browser, desktop client, or mobile app. Users could also successfully log in directly through their workspace URL (e.g., <workspace-name>.slack.com/signin).
We discovered a feature toggle that introduced the backend bug. The bug incorrectly attempted to redirect users to an invalid workspace creation page, rather than the correct workspace discovery page. We rolled back the problematic toggle, resolving the issue for all affected users.

We’ve identified a fix for this issue, and were able to successfully disable the problematic flag. Users should now be able to log in to Slack from their mobile device without encountering a login loop. We apologize for the disruption this may have caused to your day.
5:18 PM PST
We’re still actively investigating this issue, but we don’t have any new information to share at this time. Thanks for sticking with us as we continue to work towards a fix.
We’ll get back to you with more information as soon as we find out more.
2:26 PM PST
We're investigating a new incident in which some users encounter a redirect loop after entering the six-digit login code when attempting to log into Slack from their mobile browsers. This only impacts logging in from https://slack.com/signin, and logging in directly from your workspace URL (https://example.slack.com) or from the app is unaffected.
We'll provide an update within 30 minutes, including further details on current actions being taken.
