Incident
GovSlack users are having trouble connecting to Slack

From January 22, 2025 at around 4:47 PM PST until January 23, 2025 at 7:18 AM PST some GovSlack users were not able to load their workspaces in their Slack desktop client.
A recent change to backend logic introduced an unexpected error when the desktop client attempted to load workspaces due to missing database values.
After identifying the problematic code, we rolled out a change to the logic, restoring full functionality and resolving the issue for all affected users.
3:45 PM PST
This issue is no longer impacting GovSlack and users should now be able load their workspace.
8:10 AM PST
Some GovSlack users are unable to load their workspace and are seeing errors in their connection test: https://my.slack.com/help/test/4139980. We apologize for the trouble and will be back as soon as we have an update to share.

Incident
Intune App for Android crashing

Issue Summary:
From 12:15 PM PST on January 15, 2025 to around 11:59 PM PST on January 24, 2025, some users may have experienced crashes in the Slack for Intune app on Android devices. In particular, the app may have crashed when accessing the Activity tab.
We determined that a particular code change specific to version 25.01.30 of the Slack for Intune Android application was triggering crashes when users tried to view the Activity tab.
We prepared a fix and packaged it for release as app version 25.01.31, then submitted this update to the Google Play Store. Once the update moved through the standard Google Play Store review process, the fix became available to all impacted users.
3:32 PM PST
We have completed rolling out the fix, please update to the latest app version in the Google Play Store.
Thank you again for bearing with us in the meantime

Trouble using search

From 3:00 PM PST on January 23, 2025 to 3:00 PM PST on January 27, 2025, GovSlack users encountered a, "Something went wrong" error when performing searches.
As part of routine improvements to Slack's search functionality, we made changes to the backend code that returns search results across Slack. However, a section of these updates were not fully rolled out on our GovSlack servers when we made this change, which resulted in search failures for GovSlack users.
We re-deployed these updates across the GovSlack infrastructure, resolving the issue for all impacted users.
9:02 PM PST
We've resolved the search issue and everything should be running as normal for impacted users once more. If you have any further trouble, please write to us at feedback@slack.com.
Thank you for your patience while we addressed this.
